my profile

About

I'm Tehsein Firoze Akhtar, an ambitious MSc Computer Science student at the esteemed University College Dublin, deeply committed to devising innovative software and data-related solutions. My proficiency in various programming languages and tools has empowered me to successfully carry out complex projects, ranging from simulating Post Quantum Cryptography using Python, to deploying a Dublin Bikes Web Application on AWS.

Apart from my academic accomplishments, I've honed my professional skills through a rewarding internship experience at Bluelearn as a Front End Web Developer. Not only did I have the chance to develop and test numerous website modules, but I also gained in-depth understanding of the entire web development process, from design to deployment. Moreover, my leadership role in managing the VIT Music Club and my volunteering experience with the NGO Anokha highlight my strong interpersonal and organizational skills. With a keen interest in Machine Learning and Cryptography, I am always on the lookout for the next challenge in the tech industry.

Projects

Smart City Explorer

Developed 'Smart City Explorer,' a data-driven web application designed to create personalized Manhattan itineraries based on user preferences and real-time data. Spearheaded backend development using Node.js and managed DevOps tasks including server deployment, MySQL configuration, and performance monitoring.

Dublin Bikes Web Application

Deployed a web application resembling the Dublin Bikes website on AWS, leveraging an EC2 server and RDS. Developed a Flask backend, integrated the Google Maps API, and constructed an ML model based on data obtained from the Dublin Bikes API.

Asteroids Game on Java

Utilizing JavaFX, an asteroid arcade game was crafted. The game included multiple moving asteroids, projectiles, alien ships, and a dynamic high score system.

Post Quantum Cryptography

In this project, we simulate a secure cryptography system through quantum key distribution using the BB84 protocol. A Python program was developed to enhance the protocol and allow the transmission of data.

User-based RPG using Python

The goal of this project is to employ OOPS principles to create a user-based role-playing game (RPG) with various classes.

COVID-19 Death Risk Prediction Models

Worked with a dataset from the CDC to build and evaluate prediction models for death risk in relation to COVID-19.
